Dementia – ‘Everyday Practical Skills’

Scenario-based training that strengthens practical skills

  • February 26 @ 2:30 pm
  • United Kingdom

About the session

This isn’t a lecture — it’s real‑life moving and handling brought to life through immersive simulations and scenario‑based activities that help carers build confidence, empathy, and clarity when supporting people safely. These sessions reflect the realities of care: the emotions, the communication challenges, and the moments where dignity, comfort, and safety truly matter.

What you will gain

Stronger confidence supporting people living with dementia, including how to respond calmly and compassionately to distress, confusion, or changes in behaviour.

Practical skills for understanding unmet needs, recognising triggers, and adapting your approach to maintain dignity and emotional safety.

CPD‑aligned learning that deepens your professional practice and strengthens the quality of dementia care across your setting.

A reflective, practical workbook to help you embed new skills, revisit key techniques, and apply learning in real‑world situations.

• Led by a professional carer and trainer with lived experience
Mapped to NICE Guidelines, WHO and JCC Standards
